Salvation

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own death on the cross obtained eternal redemption for the believer. The bible teaches there is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN

A. GOD LOVES YOU.

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

B. OUR OWN SIN KEEPS US FROM KNOWING GOD AND HIS LOVE.

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

C. JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN REMOVE THE BARRIER OF YOUR SIN AND RESTORE YOU TO GOD.

John 14:6 - "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'."

Acts 4:12 - "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

D. YOU MUST PERSONALLY GIVE JESUS CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE AND TRUST HIM TO SAVE YOU FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR SIN.

Revelation 3:20 - "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."

Acts 3:19 - "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."

John 1:12 - "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."

Romans 10:9-10 - "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

"Dear God, I know now that I have been separated from you because of my sin. I thank you Lord Jesus for dying to rescue me from the penalty and power of my sin. I am ready to give you control of my life. Forgive me, fill me with your Holy Spirit, and make me the kind of person you want me to be. I love you. In Jesus' name, Amen."
