Deacon Chairman James Heinrich is a spiritual leader serving under the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church as co-laborers togther, overseeing the deacon ministry by planning, leading, and conducting meetings, as well as providing training and resources to support their service to the Body of Christ. As part of the church leadership team, he helps explain the role of the deacons, shares updates to further the church’s mission, and reports their work to the congregation. He also offers advice, counsel, and support to the pastor on matters related to church operations, personnel, and other spiritual concerns.
Most importantly, he assists the Pastor in ensuring the service, upkeep, and needs of the Body of Christ are met through the Deacon Body, allowing the Pastor to focus on preaching, teaching, and equipping the saints for ministry and the work of God, as reflected in Acts 6:1-7and Ephesians 4:11-13.
