Jerry and Julie married May 26, 1968. They have two children, John and Kristen, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They moved to Sublime in July 2008 and were called to the pastorate October 11, 2009. Jerry completed twenty years in the USAF as a Special Operations Pilot for JSOC and AFSOC October 31,1992. He completed his BA at University of Corpus Christi (Texas A&M, Corpus Christi) TX May 26, 1969, MDivB.L. at Southwestern Baptist Seminary, Ft. Worth TX December 12, 1993; and Master Arts in Clinical Psychology, North Texas State University (University of North Texas) May, 1976. Initiated into Psi Chi National Honors Society, in 1975. Member of Daedalian Society of Pilots. Studied Spanish at the Monterey Defense Language Institute for position as National Exchange Officer with Bogota Colombia. Held positions as Moderator, Missions Chair for Coastal Bend Baptist Association. Serves as Secretary of the Gonzales Baptist Association. Volunteered with N.O.V.A. as a National Certified Crises Response Instructor. Pastor at University Baptist Church, Kingsville, Texas for fifteen years. Has volunteered as chaplain for Texas Baptist Crises Response Team, Hospice and Police Departments. "Let the church be the church" is his vision of the pastorate.
